Welcome to Hervé Gillet Photography, your award-winning Lancashire wedding photographer.

When you’re planning your wedding, there is so much to do, not least choosing a wedding photographer you can trust to capture every one of those special moments for you to look back on with happiness for years to come. If you’ve been researching the best wedding photographers Lancashire has to offer, I’d be delighted if you would pause a while here on my website to learn what I can do for you on your big day.

My name is Hervé Gillet. I’m a specialist wedding photographer covering the North West of England, including Lancashire. I’d be honoured if you’d take a few moments to read the real life stories from my brides and grooms on my blog, and to take a browse through my wedding photography galleries. Hopefully you will soon discover how my natural style of wedding photography captures all the emotion of the day, from every angle.

Natural style wedding photography Lancashire couples recommend

Whether you call it ‘documentary’ wedding photography or ‘reportage’, when it comes down to it, it’s all about capturing special moments in a natural way.

You’ll see from my Lancashire wedding photography galleries that as well as the formal pictures, there are many un-posed, natural shots. These are the kind of photos that capture the true essence of such a momentous day. The pictures that bring all that emotion flooding back, years into the future.

I’m finding that the natural style of wedding photography is becoming increasingly popular. Of course, brides and grooms still appreciate a few formal shots, but it’s those stolen moments that tell the story of the day, documenting all the laughter, joy, tears and stolen kisses.

If your desire is for a wedding photo album that’s more like a storybook, charting every moment of the day as it unravelled, that’s exactly what you’ll get if you engage me for your wedding photography in Lancashire.

Your dedicated wedding photographer, covering all the top Lancashire wedding venues

Whatever your chosen wedding venue in Lancashire, I’d be proud to attend. Over my many years behind the lens, I’ve provided wedding photography Lancashire wide, covering all the top venues this wonderful county has to offer, as well as some of the more intimate and unusual ones too.

The Bartle Hall Hotel is a beautiful venue, perfect for natural wedding photography. Lancashire countryside surrounds this country house hotel and coaching barn, nestled amongst sixteen acres of landscaped gardens and woodlands. Shooting Alexandra and James’ wedding at this venue was a joy, and capturing the couple naturally interacting in the grounds of the hotel meant that the resulting photos really were something to cherish. Not to mention the full group shot where everyone stole a sneaky kiss!

The West Tower is one of the most popular Lancashire wedding venues amongst my brides and grooms, and my regular attendance there has earned me a spot on the venue’s preferred wedding photographer list. It’s a venue I know inside out, and I have had the pleasure of shooting ceremonies both inside and out, taking advantage of the stunning landscaped gardens and romantic pagoda.

One of these weddings was that of Amy and Gary, who enjoyed a glorious summer wedding with plenty of fun and laughter. There were even professional singing waiters to serve the canapés on the lawn!

Contrasting the sunny backdrop, Katie and Owen’s West Tower wedding took place against the moody skies of winter, always a photographer’s favourite. It was the natural, informal photos from my galleries that convinced the couple to hire me as their Lancashire wedding photographer, and their own shots fit the bill perfectly, documenting laughter, tears and joy all round.

Due to my long term experience as a wedding photographer, Lancashire presents few wedding venues with which I am not familiar. And when your photographer knows a venue like the back of his hand, you’ll always be guaranteed the very best wedding album.
