Wedding Photography Liverpool - Frequently Asked Questions

Simply put, your friends and family probably aren’t professional photographers. The photos that end up on Facebook may seem like a great idea at wine o’clock, but chances are they won’t do your big day justice. I am a fully trained and insured Liverpool wedding photographer. This isn’t a hobby or part-time occupation, as is the tendency with many wedding photographers Liverpool wide and beyond. I have professionally shot in excess of 500 weddings with high-end equipment, and always carry backup gear for complete reassurance. I know when and where to achieve the best shots so your day isn’t interrupted, and so that the true essence of your day is captured. And most of all, my photos won’t become blurrier as the day progresses!

I class myself as a ‘documentary wedding photographer’. The less obtrusive I am, the more genuine and natural your wedding photos will look. I observe and capture the day as it organically unfolds, drawing as little attention to myself as possible. A genuine smile is far more beautiful than a forced one, and I would rather lurk behind the bouquets waiting for that perfect shot than tick boxes and produce fabricated, set-up memories. So, if you are looking for a wedding photographer in Liverpool who will capture your special day in the perfect way, please do talk to Hervé.

Although I am a North West wedding photographer covering Liverpool, Merseyside, Lancashire and Cheshire, I am prepared to travel wherever you need me. I have in the past accompanied wedding parties to many parts of Europe. To discuss your individual needs and ideas, please get in touch.

About a month before your wedding day, I will send you a checklist to complete, or we can meet and finalise it together. The checklist covers final details such as time and your required formal wedding images, names of your wedding party, etc.

On a practical level, I make sure my car is fully serviced and that I know precisely where I need to be and at what time. I leave with plenty of time to spare to avoid any traffic delays and make sure I arrive well on time.

If you choose the Full Day Package, you will receive coverage of your day from early wedding preparations until the wedding first dance and evening party. The Half Day Package is only available Monday to Thursday, and you will receive coverage from the wedding ceremony through to the wedding breakfast.

Don’t worry, many couples feel awkward posing! However, you will see that everyone looks comfortable and natural in my wedding galleries, and this is because of my unobtrusive approach. I will give you some hints and tips, whilst a pre-wedding or wedding engagement shoot can prepare you with a taste of what to expect for your Liverpool wedding photography.

As a North West wedding photographer I am fully prepared for changeable weather! Professional lenses help, and as a full-time professional wedding photographer, I have the experience to quickly adapt to these situations. So you will never have to worry that your wedding photos will be anything other than perfect.

Your pictures will be available on my website via a password protected client login. From there, your guests can purchase their own copies, either in black and white or colour, in sizes ranging from 4” x 6” to 8” x 12”. You will also have the option to buy the copyright DVD, enabling you to reprint infinite photographs for your family and friends

There is no limit to the number of photos you will receive as part of your Liverpool wedding photography package, but usually it will be between 300 and 400.

All photos of the day are taken in colour, and then some are edited to black and white, airbrushed and so forth. Because each image is individually retouched and edited for quality and consistency, you will generally receive your photos within 6-8 weeks of your wedding day. You will be sent a link to your personal client login wedding gallery, and after that you will receive your proof book and memory stick, enabling you to reprint infinite photographs for your family and friends.

Of course! After your wedding you will receive a memory stick and proof book, which will contain your wedding photographs taken during the day. These will form the basis from which your wedding album will start to be built. Photos can be printed from the disc and reproduced for personal use. You can even take it to your favourite processors, or upload them to your favourite social media sites.

Your wedding photos can be displayed in a range of wedding albums and story books. Choose from the Graphic Studio Story Book, the Jorgensen Wedding Album, or the Folio Wedding Album.

To discuss fees for my Liverpool wedding photography packages, please get in touch via my contact page.

When possible, it’s great to have a chat in person at my studio or even via Skype or Facetime. On receipt of a contract and a £250 deposit, your North West wedding photographer is officially booked and I will be indisposed to you only on that day. If you have been led to my wedding photography website during your search for Liverpool wedding photography, rest assured that you won’t find anyone more dependable, and I would be honoured to document your special day.
