Bartle Hall Hotel

As wedding hotels in Lancashire go, the Bartle Hall Hotel has to rank amongst the best. A truly beautiful venue, this hotel is perfect for the natural wedding photography style.

The venue, a charming country house hotel and coaching barn, is swathed in sprawling Lancashire countryside and surrounded by sixteen acres of woodlands and stunning landscaped gardens, ideal for creating memorable wedding photographs.

The hotel itself offers fifteen splendid bedrooms, perfect for wedding guests or the wedding party. But it’s the enchanting features that I particularly like as a wedding photographer. The historic beams, the fireplaces, the ambient lighting. And outside there’s the lovely patio, ideal for group shots on summer evenings.

When I shot Alexandra and James’ wedding at this venue it really was a joy. The natural light flooding in to the ceremony room coined the sense of happiness beautifully, whilst capturing the couple naturally interacting in the outstanding grounds of the hotel creating an album full of treasured memories. Truly one of my favourite wedding venues in Lancashire.

The West Tower

A West Tower Ormskirk wedding has to be feature as one of the most popular on every Lancashire bride and groom’s wish list.

As a regular at this venue, I’ve earned a spot on the preferred wedding photographer list. The West Tower is a venue I know very well, and I have enjoyed shooting many outdoor and indoor weddings here.

The fantastic landscaped gardens, countryside views, characterful spaces and romantic pagoda make for the most wonderful wedding photography backdrop. And inside, the bridal suite and top class accommodation make the venue most inviting for the bridal party and guests alike.

In the warmer months, the ceremony can take place beneath the pagoda, with guests invited to mingle over drinks and canapés on the terrace. Again, perfect for the natural wedding photography style.

If you’re looking for wedding ceremony and wedding reception venues in Lancashire, the West Tower will accommodate both, with its amazing ballroom providing the perfect setting for the wedding breakfast, speeches and cutting of the cake.

Shooting the Lancashire West Tower wedding of Amy and Gary here, a glorious summer event with a great deal of fun and laughter, was a superb experience.

Other wedding venues in Lancashire

There are lots of other wedding venues Lancashire has to offer when it comes to creating the perfect wedding album memories.

Bashall Barn for example is one of the most popular barn wedding venues in Lancashire. Surrounded by glorious uninterrupted views and stunning rolling hills and featuring a gorgeous outdoor terrace, this really is one of those venues that is a wedding photographer’s dream.

Looking for quirky wedding venues in Lancashire? Wellbeing Farm ticks the unique box with its unusual decorations, rustic feel and, wait for it… the opportunity to invite the farm’s llamas into your wedding photos!

Set within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Browsholme Hall is another Lancashire wedding venue that’s brimming with rustic charm. The gorgeous landscaped gardens make a wonderful backdrop for wedding photos. Choose to hold your ceremony in the splendid Grade I listed Hall, or opt for the rustic Tithe Barn.

If you’re keen to choose a wedding venue in Lancashire that also offers accommodation, the Inn at Whitewell makes an excellent choice. Dating back to the 1300s when it used to be a manor house, the venue makes a beautiful spot for wedding photographs with its stunning views across the Hodder Valley.
