Wedding Photography at Stanley House

A huge congratulations to Sarah and Dave, whose big day began at St James’ Church. Sarah looked beautiful as father and daughter emerged onto Vicarage Lane, the leafy grounds and 1851 church providing a picturesque setting. The sun shone bright, despite the wind demanding everybody hang onto their hats! The ceremony was refined and emotional, you could feel the love radiating towards the happy couple as they emerged as one.

I especially love doing Stanley House wedding photography, where the festivities continued, Set in 54 acres of Ribble Valley countryside in Mellor, Lancashire, Stanley House is part contemporary, part traditional – this providing plenty of photographic variation.

The court yard allowed for some beautiful Stanley House wedding photography, with its colourful flowerbeds, bushes and geometric pathways. But the best spot proved to be a field near the car park with an idyllic countryside backdrop where the couple experienced a stunning sunset, allowing for wonderful silhouette shots. But what I love the most about Sarah and Dave’s wedding album is how Sarah has a big smile in just about every photo.

Guest boogied into the night to the Groovy Revolution, one of top five wedding bands featured in Vogue;s Bride magazine with some fun and unpredictable medleys ans mashups. Tunes ranged from 60s classic up to present chart hits, meaning there was something for everyone.

I also wish to thank David Stubbs , whose collaboration allowed us to produce some stunning reminders of the day.

Another huge congratulation to Sarah and Dave on taking the next step in their life together and thank you for entrusting me with your Stanley House wedding photography. I hope you enjoy this small selection of photos which give a flavor of the festivities. If you are getting married at this beautiful venue and are looking for an unobtrusive documentary wedding photographer who won’t impede on your special day, please get in touch .
