Abbeywod Estate Wedding Photography

Bride and groom walking in the garden

Relaxed and natural style coverage at Abbeywood Estate.

This miserable winter weather is just dragging, isn’t it? Let me cast your minds back to last summer when we celebrated Vicki & Danny’s wedding on a lovely August day.

Abbeywood is a 45-acre estate nestled in the Delamere countryside, right in the heart of Cheshire. It’s a fabulous venue to visit whatever the season, and I hope you enjoy my Abbeywood Estate wedding photography.

On this occasion, the bridal party and groomsmen would both prepare at The Hollies Log Cabins, just a few minutes away from the Estate.

Vicki was joined by her mother, grandfather and bridesmaids, whilst just a few metres away the groom’s brother, ushers and best men kept Danny company. Vicki emerged looking radiant in a gown by Natalie Ann Brides, ready to be transported to the venue in a Horgans vintage car.

No posing wedding photography

The wedding was to take place outdoors amongst the estate’s outstanding gardens. Surrounded by such vibrant colours, it would have been a waste to use black and white photography. The ceremony was a joy to photograph, and I am thrilled with how these shots turned out. Making the most of the glorious weather, everybody remained outdoors to enjoy the drinks reception and mingle.

While guests nibbled on canapés, the newlyweds ambled through the formal gardens. As a photographer, the grounds offered a wealth of colour to really make my images pop, making these shots another highlight of my Abbeywood Estate wedding photography. Abbeywood Estate wedding photography

The rustic vibe continued at the wedding breakfast, with table dressing taken care of by Sid & Olive. Personal touches included selfies instead of place cards, whilst guests had the choice of not one but two cakes!

After some heartfelt words from Vicki’s uncle and Danny the groom, there was a hilarious speech by Danny’s brother Liam, and another by twins and best men Danny and Sean.

Colourful wedding

Every photographer loves a sunset, and I couldn’t resist taking the couple for some more photos outdoors – with a trampoline thrown in for good measure, of course.
To round off the day guests were treated to an impressive firework display. Unfortunately, a rogue firework landed in a tree, and the venue was treated to a visit from the fire brigade (who I’m sure some of the single guests found equally as impressive)! A huge congratulations to Vicki and Danny; I hope married life is treating you well.

Since the big day, bridesmaid Jenny has booked me for her own wedding to Daniel next year. If you are also a fan of my Abbeywood Estate wedding photography, get in touch to discuss YOUR wedding requirements.
